Kindergarten Admissions & Assessment Information

Eligibility:
Applicants must complete a Kindergarten Readiness Assessment. A total score of 70 or above is required to be considered for available openings.

Assessment Overview

The assessment includes several readiness tasks to evaluate early learning and developmental skills:

Academic & Motor Skills

Sound and letter recognition
Counting and number identification
Color and shape recognition
Name recognition and writing
Drawing a person
Tracing a shape
Pencil and scissor grasp
Cutting skills
Rug rolling (after demonstration)
Following a simple lesson

Behavioral & Social Skills Observation
Applicants are also observed on their ability to:

Work independently
Stay on task without disturbing others
Cooperate with peers
Self-manage and follow directions
