2026–2027 Magnet Application FAQ
🗓️ Application Window
Q: When can I apply for the 2026–2027 school year?
A: The application window opens Saturday, November 1, 2025, and closes Saturday, January 31, 2026. Applications must be submitted within this timeframe.
🏫 Campus Tours
Q: When are campus tours offered?
A: Campus tours will be held on Thursdays at 9:00 AM from October through January. Space is limited.
Q: What are the tour dates?
- October 2, 16, 30
- November 13, 20
- December 4, 11
- January 8, 15, 22
Q: How do I sign up for a tour?
A: Call 972-794-8407 and ask for the admissions office.
Q: Can children attend campus tours?
A: No. Children are not permitted on tours.
🌟 Open House
Q: When is the Open House?
A: Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Dealey Montessori & Academy. More details will be provided closer to the date.
🎉 District Magnet Event
Q: What is Discover DallasISD?
A: Discover DallasISD is a district-wide magnet school showcase where families can explore different program options.
Q: When and where is Discover DallasISD?
A: Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Fair Park. More details are available at https://choosedallasisd.schoolmint.com/login

Q: Where can I see projected openings?
A: Projected openings for the 2026–2027 school year are as follows:
- Pre-K 4: 33
- Kinder: 3
- 1st Grade: 34
- 2nd Grade: 6
- 3rd Grade: 2
- 4th Grade: 0
- 5th Grade: 0
- 6th Grade: 34
- 7th Grade: 1
- 8th Grade: 0
Q: Will openings change later?
A: Yes. In the spring semester, current families will complete an Intent to Return survey. Based on those responses, openings may be updated.
