Pre-Kindergarten Admissions Overview

Eligibility:

Children must be 4 years old on or before September 1 to apply.

Assessment Information

Applicants will complete an assessment designed to measure readiness and developmental potential.
A minimum total score of 70 is required to be considered for available spots.

Assessment Tasks Include:

Sound/Letter Recognition
Counting and Number Identification
Color and Shape Identification
Name Recognition and Writing
Drawing a Person
Tracing Shapes
Using Tools: Proper pencil and scissor grasp
Cutting Practice
Rug Rolling (after demonstration)
Following a Montessori Lesson

Observation Scoring

During the assessment, applicants are also observed on their ability to:

Work independently
Work without disturbing others
Cooperate with peers and teachers
Self-manage behaviors and tasks
Follow directions

Application Process

Verification — The school will verify that your application is complete.
Scheduling — Once verified, SchoolMint will email your child’s assessment date and time.
