Cell Phones/Electronic Devices

  CELL PHONES & ELECTRONIC DEVICES (excerpt from official student handbook)     

• Upper Elementary students (grades 4-6) will keep their phones locked in their locker or turn in their phones each morning to a secured location in the classroom that will remain locked until dismissal.  Each homeroom teacher will communicate their expectations to their class of students. 

• Middle School students (grades 7-8) must keep their phones in their locker.  Lockers should all be locked with a lock at all times. 

Students may NOT use cell phones, smart watches, or wireless headphones during the school day, including in the cafeteria, during passing period, and recess. 

If students are found with their cell phone, the following steps will be taken as stated in Dallas ISD’s Student Code of Conduct:
